Press statement: Nigeria joins Promote Pollinators and adopts national action plan
On Thursday 25 July, Nigeria joined the international coalition Promote Pollinators. This morning the Promote Pollinators secretariat published a press statement concerning this event. Read more and download the full statement!
National action plan
The declaration was signed by federal officials in the Federal Ministry of Environment in Abuja, during a daylong forum. By doing this, Nigeria commits to taking action to protect pollinating species threatened with extinction by adopting a national strategy. Nigeria immediately takes this into effect: subsequent to the signing, participants tabled for review and subsequent adoption the Pollinator Friendly Land Degradation Neutrality Country Action Plan.
