Press statement: 3 new members to promote pollinators during CBD CoP14

Yesterday, three new parties signed the declaration on the Coalition of the Willing on Pollinators during the Sign-up Event in Sharm-El-Sheikh. Today the Promote Pollinators secretariat published a press statement concerning this event. Read more and download the full statement!

‘Yesterday, Norway, Estonia and the European Commission on behalf of the European Union joined the Coalition of the Willing on Pollinators: ‘Promote Pollinators’. By signing the declaration they affirm their intent to protect pollinating species threatened with extinction. This brings the total of signatories to 24. The fourteenth Conference of the Parties at the UN Conference on Biodiversity (CBD CoP14) in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt was the backdrop for this special event.’

During the High-Level Meeting of the conference on Wednesday 14 November, the Coalition of the Willing hosted a ‘Sign-up Event’ to welcome new members.
